What AI does Velogics build into a website?

Every site we build can ship with an AI Front Desk: a chatbot, smart forms, automatic booking, missed-call text-back and review follow-up, all answering from one knowledge base you control. That is included in the $388 a month Hosting + SEO + AI Agents plan. Having your phone answered in a real voice is the AI Receptionist, a separate add-on at $199 a month with 200 voice minutes included. It is not part of the plan.

The line-up

The AI we build into your site.

Every site we build can ship with an always-on front desk - chat, forms, booking, and missed-call text-back - included in the AI Agents plan. Want the phone answered too? The voice Receptionist is a paid add-on on top, not part of the plan. Human-in-the-loop where it matters: AI drafts, you approve.

Inside the Front Desk: AI Chatbot · Smart Forms · Booking widget - plus automatic booking, CRM sync, and review follow-up.

The line-up, priced

Four agents you can buy today.

Two of them are sold here, on a Velogics plan. The other two are priced by the product side. There is no fifth.

The four sellable Velogics AI agents, what each handles, what it costs and where it is bought.

AI ReceptionistInbound phone calls and texts, answered in a real voice.$199/mo on top of that plan. 200 voice minutes included. Here, as an add-on to the top plan.

AI ProspectorOutbound: finding and opening conversations with new prospects.Priced by Velogics AI, not on this site.velogics.ai, our agent platform.

That is the whole list. An AI Content Manager is in development and is not on sale, so do not plan around it. Two other names are not products at all: SEO here is human work sold as the $299/mo plan, and review follow-up is bundled inside the Front Desk rather than sold as a separate reputation agent.

Before you switch it on

Where does a human stay in the loop?

At the two points where being wrong is expensive. The AI answers only from a knowledge base you approved before it went live, so it is not improvising a warranty or a price on your behalf. And on anything it cannot resolve, it hands over rather than pushing through: chat and forms capture the enquiry in the person's own words, and voice transfers the call to you with a whispered briefing first.

Everything it did is readable afterwards. Chat transcripts, form submissions and call recordings all land in one dashboard, so a bad answer is something you can find, read and correct at the source rather than hear about second-hand from a customer.

The pattern we recommend for the first few weeks is simple: leave it capturing and booking, read what it said at the end of each day, and fix the knowledge base where it was thin. Trust it with more once you have seen it work on your own customers, not because a vendor told you to.

What does it actually know about your business?

Whatever you put in the knowledge base, and nothing else. In practice that is your services and the ones you get asked for but do not sell, your real hours and service area, whatever pricing rule you are willing to state publicly, and the questions that tell you whether a job is worth your time.

It is deliberately not a scrape of your website. A website says what the marketing says. A knowledge base has to hold the things that never made it onto a page: that you do not touch flat roofs, that anything past Carleton Place carries a travel charge, that an enquiry without a postcode is not worth a callback.

One knowledge base feeds every channel, which is the reason the agents are stacked rather than sold separately. Add an answer today and the website chat gives it today. Add the voice Receptionist next year and it gives the same answer on the phone, with no second setup and no second copy to keep in step.

What is not for sale here yet?

Four agents are buyable today: the AI Front Desk, which is inside the $388 plan, the AI Receptionist at $199 a month on top of it, and two that Velogics AI prices separately, the AI Loyalty Manager for winning back past customers and the AI Prospector for outbound.

An AI Content Manager is still in development and it is not on sale. We are naming it rather than staying quiet because you may well have seen it listed somewhere, and the useful thing to know is that you should not plan a quarter around it. When it is buyable it will have a price on the pricing page like everything else here.

Two more names are worth clearing up because they sound like products and are not. SEO is not an agent on this site, it is human work, and it is the $299 a month plan. Review follow-up is not a separate reputation product either, it is one of the things bundled inside the AI Front Desk you are already paying for.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions that decide it, answered straight.

1Is the AI Receptionist included in the $388 plan?

No, and this is the line worth being clear about. The $388 Hosting + SEO + AI Agents plan includes the AI Front Desk: the chatbot, smart forms, automatic booking, missed-call text-back and review follow-up. Having your phone answered in a real voice is the AI Receptionist, and it is a $199 a month add-on on top of that plan rather than part of it. Anyone who signs up expecting the phone answered for $388 has been mis-sold, so we say it twice.

2What happens after the 200 included voice minutes?

The AI Receptionist add-on includes 200 voice minutes a month. If your call volume is regularly running past that, we agree a top-up with you in writing before it applies rather than letting an overage land on a card. That is deliberate: a usage-priced product that quietly bills you for a busy month is most of the reason people distrust them. If it was a one-off spike, we would rather talk about it than invoice it.

3What happens when the AI does not know the answer?

It answers from your knowledge base and nothing else, which means the failure mode is admitting it does not know rather than inventing something. On chat and forms it captures the enquiry and passes it to you with what the person actually asked, in their words. On voice it detects urgency and transfers the call to your phone, whispering the caller's name and what they need before connecting you, so you are never picking up cold.

4Can I turn it off, or drop back to a cheaper plan?

Yes. The AI portion of the plan is month to month, the same as the SEO portion, so you can move back to the $299 Hosting + SEO plan or the $59 Hosting & Care plan without having to argue your way out of a term. The voice add-on comes off separately from the Front Desk. Nothing about your website changes when you do it, because the site is yours and the agents sit on top of it.

5Is it legal to text and email my customers this way?

Canada's anti-spam legislation governs commercial electronic messages, and it covers text messages as well as email. In broad terms it requires consent before sending, clear identification of who is sending, and a working way to unsubscribe. Replying to somebody who has just contacted you is a different situation from a marketing blast, and we configure the agents for the first. We are not your lawyers: the government source is linked below, and compliance for your own list stays yours.

6Who is accountable for the customer information the AI collects?

You are, as the business collecting it, and we are as the operator of the platform processing it. In Canada, personal information handled in the course of commercial activity falls under PIPEDA, and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner publishes what that requires in plain language. What Velogics itself collects, how long it is kept and who it is shared with is set out in our privacy policy rather than summarised into something friendlier here.

7Which CRM and calendar does it connect to?

Leads sync natively to Follow Up Boss, and bookings land in Google Calendar or Outlook in real time with an automatic confirmation. That is the whole list of connectors that exist today. If you run something else, that is a custom integration we scope and quote up front, which is a slower answer than claiming to work with any CRM but is the one that is still true on the day you go to switch it on.

8How long does setup take?

Setup runs in 24 to 48 hours, and if we are building your website the agents are set up as part of that rather than as a second project afterwards. The work on your side is supplying the material the AI answers from, which is usually your services, your pricing rules, your service area and how you want a caller qualified. The better that material is, the better the answers are.

Where this comes from

Two of the answers above are about the law rather than about our product. Those are the government's own pages, read on the date shown, so you can check them instead of taking a vendor's word for what is required of you.

Integrations

Leads sync natively to Follow Up Boss, and bookings land in Google Calendar or Outlook in real time - no rip-and-replace. Running something else? That is a custom integration: we scope it and quote it up front, rather than promise a connector that does not exist.
